They work on light, not just heat. Even on cloudy or rainy days, your panels are still absorbing diffused sunlight and producing power. According to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), panels can generate 10–25% of their usual output on rainy or cloudy days. That’s still enough to power essential loads, especially with smart energy management systems.
