DRM Series UPS are designed with small and light weight filter inductors, high performance IGBTs in both inverter and rectifier, and advanced control strategies can bring improved performance and value to an organization. Compared to legacy UPS topology designs, DRM Series UPS typically reduces 25% of the weight and occupies 60% of the footprint. Low input THD (0.99) are supported down to nearly 10 percent load without the need for an additional input filter. In addition, DRM Series assures full load efficiency up to 96.5 %. The DRM  series UPS design does not require any side clearance or rear access for maintenance. With these new benefits, this technology-intensive design will become the most preferred UPS for Industrial and Commercial applications along with Data Centres.

Description

TRANSFORMER FREE REVOLUTION.

Experimenting on lower power. levels, POM POWER is developing the transformer-free uninterruptible power system (UPS) for the last two decades. We have successfully made the power line frequency magnetics (transformers or inductors) out of UPS. Though the high frequency power processing is technology intensive, the transformer free design trend is moving up in high power levels. Fortunately, POM POWER, advances in technology have matured sufficiently to support improved value to the customer without sacrificing needed reliability.

INCREDIBLE INPUT FEATURES.

Modern industrial environment does not accept large harmonic input currents and high input power factor. Large input inductors and harmonic filters are needed to bring the harmonics and power factor down. These components add cost, weight and increase footprint. POM POWER DRM series UPS brings a permanent solution for these issues.

WIDE RANGE OF CAPACITY.

POM POWER DRM Series are three phase UPS, ranging from 10 KVA to 80 kVA, enhance the efficiency at higher power levels by reduction of switching losses to the point where the DRM Series UPS is predominant over the old technology UPS, including in terms of system footprint.

PROPORTIONAL GENERATOR SIZING.

POM POWER DRM Series UPS is highly compatible with generators and avoids the additional generator over sizing commonly required with a phase-controlled rectifier. DRM Series UPS design with an IGBT rectifier inherently holds PF up and THD down from 10 to 100 percent load.

FLEXIBLE BATTERY SOLUTIONS.

DRM Series UPS battery voltage is independent of bus voltage and also allows a range of battery voltages to be accommodated. This converter also enables the battery to rest in an open circuit state to avoid continuous ripple current and the accelerated aging (especially at elevated temperatures) resulting from floating at a voltage significantly higher than open circuit voltage. With these additional capabilities, charging techniques can be more effective in extending battery service life and suitable for VRLA and Li-ion Batteries.

LITHIUM ION BATTERY OPTIONS.

DRM Series offers backup thru different types of Batteries like LFP, VRLA and AGM. The new Lithium-ion batteries offer a range of benefits that make them an ideal choice over other UPS battery chemistries, such as extended lifespan, increased power density, smaller footprint, and increased cycle life.
